Articular Engineering's research, development and commercialization strategy focuses on orthopedics. The company is organized into three divisions based on its major categories of products in development.

The Articular Cartilage Division is concerned with the development of transplantable tissues for use in the repair of damaged or diseased joint surfaces.

The Intervertebral Disc Division is focused on developing methods of restoring the mechanical integrity of the intervertebral disc after disc injury such as herniated nucleus pulposus ("slipped disc") or disc surgery.

The Drug Discovery Division is concerned with the development of tissue-engineered products as tools for drug discovery and providing services for the drug development community.
